 Din Kandidat for liste Å

Comments by Karsten-S
Still I have not found anybody who should have my vote to be major of København. That is why I use my democratic rights and participate in the kommunal election as a candidate for Christiania-Listen.
Politics need new brains the system got stuck in itself. I certainly believe that people can make a difference.
That is why, if you live in København Kommune and you recieved a VALGKORT to participate in the election on the 17th  november, your vote should go to CHRISTIANIA-LISTENmig

She addressed a UN Meeting on issue of environment, I believe that there are a lot of children thinking the same.

 New re-edited site www.karsten-s.dk

Comments by Karsten-S
Hi readers and users of this website.
After some month of silence I am finally back on the tracks. Here is a quick overview about the changes I made and the ones to come.
The content part got a few new pages but I am not  finished. Christiania visitors and guest have now the option to post their comments about Christiania on this site when registered. Don't try to post without an account you will be banned by the security system and you need to contact me to undo this if you consider to publish something here.
I am trying to get a gallery with the option of posting images going too. asap - but the weather is to nice at the moment, so I don't spend as much time as needed for this with my antique computer. Working with images takes a  hell of time with my old computer. I made a few hundred pictures with Christiania impressions in the last couple of weeks that I have to sort and make suitable for the web. This is going to take some time.
Some of the text in the content has to be valuated,  re-edited and updated. I started with it but there is still a lot of typing to do to give you the best possible information about Christiania and the other topics on this site.
And yes Christiania had some headlines in the news. As usual only the negative ones made to the public media. Crime always makes  headlines in the press.
Christianias existence  is under pressure by the governmental plans and the devastating law for the area.
The citizens are getting worn out by the continues discussions and meetings to get to some point of unity in the process of normalization.
On top of all this there is the war on drugs that shows its ugly face daily in the street-life.  The constant presence  of  police  in  the streets of Christiania  did not  move the  popular hash market  away from Christiania.  After  the official closing  of Pusherstreet  it  just spread out over the whole of Copenhagen  and more or less ignited  a veritable  gang-war all across Denmark  which demanded several  victims.
Horror-stories about the behavior of the police-officers are well known here but in the most cases never reach the public in general. (While I am typing this, I just got another one of this kind to add to the long register.)
Legal rights are questionable in in many of the arrests and searches completed by the police-force. The victims of these are in the most cases simple cannabis users taking a brake in Christiania to satisfy their habits.
Now the threat against the housings in area two and three are getting more serious then ever. Decisions made  by the SES are not reversible and they probably will push it through and try to tear down that particular buildings.
What actions like that can lead to has been seen last year when the streets of Copenhagen were burning. Violent reactions are not supported by Christiania. But Christiania has no influence at all when it comes to the activities that might raise out of an angry crowd.

I wish everybody a cheerful, peaceful and warm summer
